At the initial visit, a patient fills out a complete medical history and a symptoms questionnaire. There will be a discussion of the patient’s symptoms and orders given to your main provider for a blood draw to evaluate hormone levels. When the blood results come back (generally three to five business days later), our office will email the test results to patients. Once a patient decides to proceed with pellet hormone replacement therapy, FVPS will order the recommended dose, which is shipped to the practice. All patients must sign a Prescription Shipping Authorization to authorize the pharmacy to send the pellets to the practice. It takes two weeks for the pellets to arrive. When the pellets arrive, patients then return for an implantation appointment.
