Canfield Visia® is a skin analysis system we use to get a deeper understanding of your skin and helps us create the best treatment plan for you. A VISIA imaging session uses multi-spectral imaging and analysis to capture key visual information for eight areas affecting complexion health and appearance: spots, wrinkles, color variation in the skin tone, pores, sun damage, subsurface pigmentation, vascular conditions, and porphyrins (evidence of bacteria in pores). Additionally, VISIA provides an informative comparison of your complexion’s characteristics to others of your same age and skin type.
The Visia system helps us decide the best treatment for you. It also gives consistent before and after photos that lets us track your treatment progress. We can go back and look at Visia pictures to ensure we are on the right the track to meeting your individual skin goals. The VISIA complexion analysis report compares the grading of skin relative to the candidate’s peer group (same sex, age and skin type). This image shows the results of a 32-year-old Caucasian female with fair skin. The bottom right photo reveals UV damage to the skin. The area around the eye is not damaged, providing insight that the candidate wears sunglasses. The candidate scored in the 99th percentile for wrinkle damage compared to her peer group, but ranks in the 12th percentile for spots caused by sun exposure.
