Biopsy studies show that when platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is injected, stem cells multiply and grow new tissue. Procedure

A numbing cream is applied to the vagina and the arm. The Orgasm Shot procedure begins with a simple blood draw. Then using a centrifuge and a proprietary technique, the growth factors in platelet-rich plasma (PRP) are extracted from that blood sample and mixed with calcium chloride. The whole process takes 20 minutes.

Using a very thin needle, the growth factors are injected into an area near the clitoris and into the area of the upper vagina that is most important for the sexual response.

Because these areas have been numbed with a local anesthetic cream, patients experience only slight discomfort during the procedure.

After each treatment, the patient is given a free Emsella treatment to help distribute the PRP, and to jumpstart the rejuvenation process.

Is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Safe?

The federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the use of the kit to prepare PRP for use in orthopedics to activate unipotent stem cells and rejuvenate tissue. PRP is used at the end of a surgical procedure, and is sprayed under the skin where it reduces bruising, swelling and speeds healing. Because it is so concentrated, it acts as a wound sealant (tissue glue). This eliminates the need for dressings and drains, and also reduces the incidence of hematomas (blood collections) and seromas (fluid collections). It also reduces bruising and swelling. In addition, it promotes more rapid healing by secreting healing and growth factors which enhance recovery.

Although there never have been serious reactions to PRP in other parts of the body, the FDA has not evaluated the use of this kit for preparing PRP for use in the vagina. PRP has been used effectively for a variety of treatments for more than 20 years.

Additional Factors

There are factors which can adversely impact the effectiveness of the Orgasm Shot.

Birth control pills can drop testosterone levels and cause lack of desire.
Testosterone levels can be “normal” at zero with the new guidelines promoted by some labs. To have a healthy sex drive, most women need a free testosterone level in the upper range of normal for women.
Make sure that prolactin levels are normal. High prolactin levels, which have very few symptoms, drastically reduce sex drive.
Ask for blood testing instead of saliva testing when checking serum/blood levels.
Do not underestimate the value of good sex education and counseling. The most important sex organ is the brain. There are sex therapists and family counselors who make a specialty of tuning the brain and emotions for better sex.
