The patient had a previous lumpectomy elsewhere and radiation on her right breast.  Now she elected for a bilateral mastectomy with tissue expanders and implants to prevent recurrence of cancer.  Her right breast skin was already thin, and the previously radiated wound edges could not hold the right implant, so the right breast was not healing properly.  A latissumus flap was then used to contain the implant, and lipostructure was added to even out the breasts.  Patient later had a mastopexy style lift on the left breast,  and a procedure on the right side to set the inframammary fold.
