Case Details
This 54-year-old female patient was unhappy with the appearance of her abdomen after weight loss and abdominal changes she believed were related to ascites. Although she was within 10 pounds of her goal weight, she continued to struggle with excess loose skin and abdominal laxity that would not improve with diet or exercise.
To address her concerns, Dr. Janssen performed a moderate abdominoplasty without fascial plication. During the procedure, 834 grams of excess abdominal skin and tissue were removed using an elliptical excision technique. An additional 50 cc of liposuction was performed to the prepubic area to further improve contour and smoothness.
At 6 months post-op, the patient is very pleased with her flatter, firmer abdominal appearance and improved body contour.
