Case Details
This 65-year-old male underwent ThermoClear treatment for a solar lentigo, commonly known as an age spot or sun spot, on his left cheek. Solar lentigines are benign, brown pigmented lesions that develop as a result of cumulative sun exposure over time. They are especially common in adults over age 50 and frequently appear on sun-exposed areas such as the face, hands, shoulders, and arms.
Although solar lentigines are harmless, they can become more noticeable with age and may be cosmetically bothersome. ThermoClear uses targeted radiofrequency energy to treat superficial skin imperfections, including certain benign pigmented lesions, without the need for surgical excision.
The before-and-after photos demonstrate the patient’s results just three weeks following treatment. The previously visible brown spot on his left cheek has significantly faded, leaving a more even skin tone and smoother-looking complexion. These photos illustrate the early cosmetic improvement achieved with ThermoClear treatment of a solar lentigo.
